Miley Cyrus Slams “Twilight” Fans
You already know that “New Moon” the so expected 2nd movie of the Twilight series, broke the sales records even before the official launch and the red carpet.
Millions of Fans wait to the premiere of this movie, but Miley Cyris was not one of them.
“I think it’s like [a] cult… I think it’s a cult,” Miley told Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up in an interview that aired on Tuesday. “I think it’s bad. I think it’s like, just people get too into it.”
Miley even compare the people’s obsession with “Twilight” to the public’s fascination with models.
“For me, I think it’s like when guys look at supermodels and they’re like, That’s the perfect girl,’ … That’s what those kind of movies do to us, They’re like thinking that’s what girls should be like and not everyone is going to be Edward, hate to say it.”

I completely agree with miley,
it is something that people get to into.
I have never liked twilight, bt the nmore people got into it the more i started to hate it.

WOW!!! I never thought about it like that! At first when I read that I was thinking that she was in the end just going to promote her own movies, TV show or CDS. Then I clicked the more info thing and I realized that what Miley said is like 100% true!!! I think that is SO TRUE!!!!!

Miley is correct. Shes right about Twilight, she probably did see the movie, she knows what she’s talking about and she sees girls giggling over Edward and the movie. Good on you Miley for telling the world what most of us are thinking about those poor girls who are gonna get their heart broken about Edward :]

I disagree,..i am not a fan of twilight but i totally disagree with what miley said,…it depends on the person watching the film or reading the books,..if you are smart enough you would not think that you are going to be a vampire like edward,…
and I’d rather let my girls read twilight books than watch Hannah Montana and see the chic with numbers of scandals on youtube,…

OK. news flash miley! you haven’t even READ the book series! you know.. there are some celebs who say things like that, and you can tell it’s not cause they are predjudiced but because they honestly mean it. miley is not one of them, and I honestly dont know how people can be a fan of her after sll the dirty sicko things she does. Once upon a time I used to be a fan of her, now all I can say is: been there, done that, and NEVER AGAIN!

The only reason i will comment is because of the sheer hilariousness of this thread. First off..Twilight as a movie Sucks…horribly. Bad acting, Predictable set ups for scenes..tons of cliches…and on and on. and Hannah Montana is only good to keep the kids quiet when you have things to do. Twilight fans really think you understand this vampire mythology, and that these stories are so close to their real lives. but twilight is like a dark dawson’s creek with vampires..its tween driven bullshit. Any writer who puts in their story a sparkling vampire..and give it remorse for how he sparkles is obviously targeting a specific audience. Any adults or educated people who are into twilight. Shame on you. just like Bieber fever…they act cultish. They are in swarms, they will attack you (verbally or physically) if you speak the truth and let them know how insignificant the material they worship is. But the majority of you posting back are probably little girls under 16. and sadly youve grow up watching remakes of what we enjoyed growing up..except these little tween movies just dont do it right. Or maybe they do? They turned millions of you into sheep for being so addicted to such a bad piece of film history. And For those of you who say i havent read the book what the hell do i know. Well first off….This craze started with the movies…and how bad the movies were…nothing against the literary skill of the books author…but if i want a truely engaging, raw, intimate and a more true to home feel for vampire fiction..i will chose Anne Rice as the best of the best…and sad that her books have not become so popular in film. To sum it all up… Miley’s washed up who gives a shit…and twilight and pop fans are extremly cultish…dont get mad because its true…be mad because you worship shit

I agree with Miley, and I also think that the Twilight Saga are terrible. The books were obviously better and then they had to make a movie about it. The only book(s) turned into movie(s) that were extremely good was harry potter.
And for all you critics talking about her life, shes like 18 now, and shes just being a teenager. I know teenagers that have done worse things than her. I’m sure you people have done some “bad” things and so has she and so have I. She’s still just human, and trying to experience a life as a normal gorgeous teenager would.
